Woods Safety DayFebruary 1, 2016
On the 4th January 2016 Woods held a Work Safe day for all employees. The purpose of the day was to get everyone up to the same level of knowledge on various topics.
The event was held at the University of Derby in Buxton and was headed up with a presentation by Jon Butterworth, Chairman of the company.
The day included toolbox talks on PPE and reversing vehicles, along with a training course covering manual handling. It also gave a chance for personal and training records to be updated. Woods Safety Advisor Steve Hembury was also on site to give a presentation on risk assessments as well as supplying the updated Company H&S Handbook to all employees.
Overall the day was a great success and received a lot of very positive feedback, with a number of employees finding it a great way to touch base with other Woods employees who they do not usually work alongside on a day to day basis.
